Privacy Policy

Tayang (“we”) is Indonesia’s cinema intelligence platform at tayang.co. This policy explains what data we process, why, and the rights you have over it under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022, “PDP Law”).

Data we process

Functional storage (on your device). Your language preference, cookie-consent status, and your guest watchlist and recently-viewed films — all stored in your browser (localStorage/cookies) and never sent to our servers unless you create an account.

Account data (optional). If you sign up, we store your email, username, watchlist, and film ratings in our database (managed by Supabase) to provide account features.

Analytics (only with consent). Google Analytics 4 and PostHog activate only after you press “Accept” on the consent banner. This is anonymous usage statistics — not individual profiles — used to improve the product.

Technical logs. Application errors are recorded via Sentry (without personal content) to keep the service reliable.

Legal bases

Consent (analytics), performance of a contract (account features), and legitimate interest (security and error logs).

What we don’t do

We do not sell personal data, build advertising profiles, or share your data with third parties beyond the processors listed below.

Third-party processors

Supabase (database & authentication), Vercel (hosting), Google Analytics and PostHog (analytics, after consent), and Sentry (error monitoring). Some processors operate outside Indonesia; transfers are safeguarded by each provider’s compliance programs.

Retention

Account data is kept until you delete your account. Analytics data follows each provider’s standard retention. Functional storage lives on your device and can be cleared any time via your browser settings.

Your rights

Under the PDP Law you may access, correct, and delete your personal data, and withdraw analytics consent at any time. Contact us at privasi@tayang.co — we respond within the timeframes the PDP Law prescribes.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and announce it on the site.
